Year 7 went to Buckhurst Hill Library this week to find out how to join, what books are available for Young Adults and how to effectively research topics for homework and studying. The library staff explained how to make the most of books for research and set Year 7 a group task to locate specific pieces of information. Year 7 were then informed about the Dewey System which they then had to use to locate different topics. Year 7 learned that the library is part of an area consortium of libraries so that you can use them in Redbridge and Waltham Forest. It was lovely to hear that so many of our Year 7 pupils regularly use the library to support their learning.
