Braeside U11 Football Team – ISA Football Tournament

Our Braeside U11 Football team put on a stellar performance at the ISA Football Tournament, showcasing their talent and determination throughout the competition.

They kicked off their campaign with a thrilling 2-1 victory against King Alfred, with Freya netting both goals.

In their second match, they faced off against their Oak-Tree rivals, Oaklands. Nicole demonstrated exceptional goalkeeping skills, but despite her efforts, the team fell short, losing 2-0.

Despite this setback, the Braeside squad remained undeterred and displayed remarkable resilience. They secured a 0-0 draw against St Christopher’s, a team that had been crushing opponents with scores of 6-0 and 7-0. Our defenders, Ta’nia, Caitlin, and Freya, were magnificent, while Inayah and Ava tirelessly worked their socks off.

Their unwavering spirit propelled them into the quarter-finals, where they faced Avon House. Nahla’s brilliant goal set the tone, and Gracie’s strike sealed the victory with a 2-0 scoreline.

In the semi-final, they encountered Oaklands once again. The match was a nail-biting, end-to-end affair, but unfortunately, Oaklands snatched the winning goal in the dying minutes.

Despite not reaching the finals, the Braeside U11 Football team should be incredibly proud of their accomplishments. They emerged as semi-finalists out of 24 schools, a remarkable feat that demonstrates their dedication, teamwork, and passion for the sport.

Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding performance!
