To raise awareness of the need to recycle more in school, Braeside’s Green Team decided to hold a ‘Green Day’ on Friday 19 May.
It was a non-uniform day and the children came to school dressed up in green or any other colour of nature (brown, yellow, orange etc). Everyone gave a donation of £2 which the Green Team is hoping will go some way towards purchasing recycling bins for the Junior classrooms.
On the day, the children participated in a challenge which involved designing and making an outfit from recyclable materials. The grand finale of the day was an incredible fashion show, which gave pupils the opportunity to showcase their creations to the rest of the school. We are so impressed with the outcomes, everyone was very creative!
