Year 1 took a trip to our local high street called Queen’s Road this week.
They walked in pairs from school to talk about seasonal changes on the walk. The children then looked at the local area and the types of buildings we could see – houses, shops, business and open spaces.
Year 1 visited the post office and local library and read the signs along the road counting how many shops were open and closed. It was the perfect weather for a local stroll.
