Year 5 and 6 have had a fabulous time this term looking at re-cycling and linking art with science. We discussed making art from throw away objects and in this case we made penguins using discarded kitchen roll holders. We explored how make small cuts we could manipulate the cardboard with the help of tape to create penguins. We then went on to consider how penguins form groups in the artic and make a huddle. Despite using the same object and starting point all the students created unique and characterful penguins. A big well done everyone!!
